DJ/Radio Producer-turned-Lawyer attempts to dress like a grown-up. Sometimes I comically fail. And I occasionally post fun stuff, like music videos, book-club reviews, or photos of beauty or oddity.

Taking a break from posting
A lot going on in the personal and professional realms that require extra attention. I will be back as soon as things simmer down a little.

Not-too-girly flowers
Guess I'll put this one up for "Visible Monday" and maybe "Thursdays are for Thrifters", depending on how the week evolves. But the photo is another bangup job by Hubby:
Although the blurry effect turned out kind of arty…
More of the sweater:
I really like how well the flowers line up along the cardigan buttons. Definitely time to take the jacket to the cleaners, though.
And my go-to earring when I want something white:
I just think seed pearls are so cute:
New "blurb" I'm tossing into some of my posts, given the shock I suffered about my physical conditions, or lack thereof:
Fit and Fashionable: Sunday was weight machines, then swiming with Stinky. Lost one of my gold hoops, which I stupidly wore into the pool- and the waterslide. ._.
While this isn't a "diet and exercise" blog, I hope someone would remind me if it starts looking like I'm living like veal!
Sweater: Old Navy via Freeda's purge pile
Jacket: Kasper via consignment shop
Pants: Lane Bryant
Belt: Nine West via Bon Ton
Earrings: via Corning Museum of Glass
Pin: family heirloom via M-I-L

New Years' Resolutions
I was reading Freeda's post on the subject, and decided to pick up on her thread.
If someone looked at my calendar, they would see a lot of entries for:
I have every "group exercise" class I *might* be able to do scheduled on my calendar, so I know what is available when I'm not in night court. I haven't been going, I have the muscle tone of veal, and Stinky likes to jiggle my bingo wings. So I, along with half the country, will be schlepping back here:
(I snapped this pic around Halloween- isn't it cute?) As I was saying, judging from the calendar entries, one would think fitness is important to me. But my actions haven't borne that out. I hate "working out" ESPECIALLY "cardio". But I LOVE many activities that require strength and cardiovascular fitness. Like:
What really drove it home was when I took Stinky, my nephew, and my niece rock-wall climbing while I was in the Mitten for Giftmas. I used to do it all the time, but got injured then moved away. I've been able to resume bicycing and kayaking... but climbing... I couldn't even get more than halfway up the climbing wall.
Wow. That was a real shock. So now I have to get serious about getting back into shape.
Especially since I didn't fit into the climbing harness I already own, and had to use a rental!
