DJ/Radio Producer-turned-Lawyer attempts to dress like a grown-up. Sometimes I comically fail. And I occasionally post fun stuff, like music videos, book-club reviews, or photos of beauty or oddity.
FYI: I was doing this entire blog from my Android phone, snatching moments out of my busy life for quick photos. But I hate auto-correct with a purple passion, so now I'm using the computer for most of the work. I am still using my phone for the photos, though. My photo sizes may be erratic, and the quality isn't stellar. I am not a professional blogger, and do not have time for lots of scenic poses with a great camera. I don't even own a great camera! However, I DO appreciate your continued feedback, even in the absence of photographic artistry.

Yes, I'm a lazy bum...

... who hasn't been blogging due to numerous laziness factors: 1. I put off mending until I was down to two pair of wearable work pants, 2. I've been sucked into streaming Netflix, 3. (I've been trying to scrub the extra dye out of my hair... the last coloring went a bit too dark.

So the mending is done, and the haircolor isn't quite as scary, so back to the posting:

The top is still a bit tight, but it looks okay under a jacket:

I got these for $2 on clearance, but I'm not sure they aren't a bit "much" for me... your vote?

And shoes, so I don't get banned from public buildings:

Jacket: VanHuesen outlet
Pants: Lane Bryant
Shoes: Bass
Earrings: via BonTon
Necklace: gift from an ex

  1. It lives!!! :)

I think that the earrings are significant enough that I would skip having the necklace on. The scale of them isn't complementary. Complimentary? You know what I mean.

I do like the red with the neutrals - is that kind of an olive-y cast, or is it just my computer?

  4. I think the earrings are great on you and not to much. The earrings coordinate well with your pretty blouse.

  5. Love the snakeprint top. I think the earrings are cute, provided they aren't too heavy. Welcome back to the blog world.

  8. I was wondering where you were. Thought you'd jetted off to Gstaad to hang out with your rich friends.

The print of your top is very trendy right now.

  9. I actually really, really like your hair this color! The necklace you were asking about is an elephant. I'll try to remember to take a close up next time!

  11. Thanks for stopping by. As far as I'm concerned accessories should be at a personal comfort level.
    You look great!

  12. I don't think your hair looks too dark! And the earrings look great with this new length. I do like the red jacket paired with the otherwise neutrals. You look very nice, Amy!

  13. I like the earrings, but agree with Freeda and Pam about leaving off the necklace and I would put on a wooden bangle.
I have been wondering where you were. I am glad you are back.
