Went from Parole hearings to office day to retirement party for the DA. I think I pulled it off alright:
I'm really glad I layered, because the venue was really hot, and I could adapt more easily than many others at the party:
I'm seriously considering redoing a lot of the catches on my necklaces to something that would look nice if it showed, like on this beauty:
Since I really wanted to wear the black necklace from my mother-in-law's purge, my go-to black glass earrings seemed the best coordinating choice:
I went for comfy shoes, because I didn't know what to expect from the shindig, except that it would be well-attended:
Top: via JC Penney
Jacket: via Tallman's in Painted Post, NY
Pants: Lane Bryant
Shoes: Ariat via Sole Solutions in Spokane, WA
Earrings: Corning Museum of Glass, Corning, NY
Necklace (as bracelet): Sarah Coventry (maybe?) gift from M-I-L
DJ/Radio Producer-turned-Lawyer attempts to dress like a grown-up. Sometimes I comically fail. And I occasionally post fun stuff, like music videos, book-club reviews, or photos of beauty or oddity.
Love the wrap shirt and particularly love the earrings!
ReplyDeleteWrap shirts are amazing...they do such great things for our bodies...I went to a function recently and their were several women in B & W stripes...you are in style and look great!!
ReplyDeleteI can easily see myself in this top. Our tastes do overlap at times, even though I'm the crazier of the two of us.
ReplyDeleteThat top is incredible! You look fantastic! I've always said there's nothing classier than black and white. I love it!
ReplyDeleteI love stripes, especially when they are not all horizontal. Very pretty look.
