DJ/Radio Producer-turned-Lawyer attempts to dress like a grown-up. Sometimes I comically fail. And I occasionally post fun stuff, like music videos, book-club reviews, or photos of beauty or oddity.
FYI: I was doing this entire blog from my Android phone, snatching moments out of my busy life for quick photos. But I hate auto-correct with a purple passion, so now I'm using the computer for most of the work. I am still using my phone for the photos, though. My photo sizes may be erratic, and the quality isn't stellar. I am not a professional blogger, and do not have time for lots of scenic poses with a great camera. I don't even own a great camera! However, I DO appreciate your continued feedback, even in the absence of photographic artistry.

Restyle take 2- Controversy in a Small Town (an A&E Special Presentation):

I was just about to pack this shell away until spring, after the big fail with the turtleneck. But encouragement from commenters prompted me to give it another go (although I haven't had time to shop for any cowl necks yet):

Hubby's comment this morning: "it would look better without the vest". Me: "but the main point is to see if I can make this (brown) top work. Besides, this (blue) shirt needs to be taken in and I don't have time to iron another." But he didn't see it with the jacket on.

One of our secretaries took these, and she likes the combo. So far, 1 yay, 1 nay....

I have no idea why the colors aren't photographing true. These match, I swear:

I bet this outfit would be even better if I get the matching necklace back from Snookums! I'll have to FB her stat.

Shirt: Freeda's castoff Eddie Bauer
Shell: Croft and Barrow via Goodwill
Earrings: made by my girl Snookums
Pants: Lane Bryant butt-flap specials
Jacket: Talbot's Petite

  1. Blue is really your color! I like the vest. I think boys tend to not like any sort of "complicated and/or practical" pieces. "What purpose does the vest serve?" "Well ... it's cute!" "Bah!!!"

  2. I like that worn as a vest. I like it under the jacket. I think with jacket off, rolling up the sleeves might help with the swimminess of the fabric for now. At the least, you need to do some tugging around the pits so your excess fabric is hidden more.

  4. I like it with the jacket on. And it doesn't have to match exactly...just "go". :)
