DJ/Radio Producer-turned-Lawyer attempts to dress like a grown-up. Sometimes I comically fail. And I occasionally post fun stuff, like music videos, book-club reviews, or photos of beauty or oddity.
FYI: I was doing this entire blog from my Android phone, snatching moments out of my busy life for quick photos. But I hate auto-correct with a purple passion, so now I'm using the computer for most of the work. I am still using my phone for the photos, though. My photo sizes may be erratic, and the quality isn't stellar. I am not a professional blogger, and do not have time for lots of scenic poses with a great camera. I don't even own a great camera! However, I DO appreciate your continued feedback, even in the absence of photographic artistry.

Yesterday's experiment, today

I had a very late night, so I didn't get to post before my collapse from the sheer exhaustion of trying to carry off this look all day:

This is one of my favorite summer tops, and it has been hanging in my closet... taunting me! I saw it hanging next to the long-sleeved tee. And the gerbils in my head where my brain should be started spinning their wheels.

Why not try it? It was just an "office-day" anyway.

Whoops! I had to go the night court after all. So I tossed on a jacket:

This looked much better in my head....

Tank: Lane Bryant
Shirt: VanHusen outlet
Jacket: Talbot's petite
Pants: Lane Bryant
Jewelry: gift from a friend

  1. I like it with the blazer because it adds structure and a professional touch!! You look wonderful in that color green and should look for it for spring!!

  2. Better with the blazer, but I don't like those two necklines together.

  3. I agree with Freeda, the neckline on the long-sleeved tee is too high for the neckline of the green top.

Otherwise, I like this - great shade of green on you.

  4. This top is going to look great on its own in summer and the color is perfect! I like the gathering detail on the neckline.

  5. I like the green top: it hangs beautifully. I didn't notice any problem with the collar of the other tee, but then I'm not a fashion-expert like these two.

  6. I definitely love the color on you! I don't think it's a bad look, but I do see how the shirt is much more summery.
