DJ/Radio Producer-turned-Lawyer attempts to dress like a grown-up. Sometimes I comically fail. And I occasionally post fun stuff, like music videos, book-club reviews, or photos of beauty or oddity.
FYI: I was doing this entire blog from my Android phone, snatching moments out of my busy life for quick photos. But I hate auto-correct with a purple passion, so now I'm using the computer for most of the work. I am still using my phone for the photos, though. My photo sizes may be erratic, and the quality isn't stellar. I am not a professional blogger, and do not have time for lots of scenic poses with a great camera. I don't even own a great camera! However, I DO appreciate your continued feedback, even in the absence of photographic artistry.

Back to reality

The weather is blessedly unseasonably warm, so I've been putting off the closet sort/rotation until there is a greater need for sweaters. The only downside is that I'm pretty bored with my wardrobe:

Aaaaand... thanks to Hubby's superb photographic skills... I have become a "little person"! IRL, I'm 5'7" on my best day. Yikes!

But at least I have some new goodies to add to the mix, thanks to Hubby's mom's "urge to purge"

The chain is too long for my short torso, so the pendant hits at an awkward spot, right in my cleavage. Knotting the chain helps, but I keep having to redo it.

Pretty simple earrings to not detract from the necklace:

I didn't realize it may rain today, I will have to be careful with this beautiful suede:

Top: Liz & Co via JC Penney
Jacket: Talbot's Petite
Pants: Lane Bryant
Shoes: Trotters via DeGaetano's in Hornell, NY (now defunct)
Earrings: Lia Sophia
Necklace: gift from my mother-in-law.

  2. Don't you love when someone else purges their wardrobe and you reap the benefits? So much fun!

  3. I like your outfit, it's very elegant chic :) free stuff you love is awesome. Sadly I'm the one giving away my stuff, not the one receiving it. Lol.

  6. i like your look! what a great necklace find from your guy's mom. my borrowed wedding dress was really low cut. when my guy fed me the cake, the cake layer fell down the front, & everyone thought it was hilarious that i had wedding cake cleavage.

  7. You are not 5'7". Haaaahahahaa.... unless you are measuring your hair too!

  8. On the rare good day, when the stars and my back are in alignment, I have been measured at 5'7". Most of the time, I'm 5'6".
