DJ/Radio Producer-turned-Lawyer attempts to dress like a grown-up. Sometimes I comically fail. And I occasionally post fun stuff, like music videos, book-club reviews, or photos of beauty or oddity.
FYI: I was doing this entire blog from my Android phone, snatching moments out of my busy life for quick photos. But I hate auto-correct with a purple passion, so now I'm using the computer for most of the work. I am still using my phone for the photos, though. My photo sizes may be erratic, and the quality isn't stellar. I am not a professional blogger, and do not have time for lots of scenic poses with a great camera. I don't even own a great camera! However, I DO appreciate your continued feedback, even in the absence of photographic artistry.

Christmas prezzie!

One of the secretaries got me this cute jewelry set for Christmas, and I'm trying to figure out how to work it in- its pretty different than what I already have. In a good way. Here's what I came up with today:

Doesn't my hair look awesome? I have a new blow dryer... an Ion brand ionic one. Kinda expensive, but worth every penny!

I didn't have any court scheduled today, so I styled myself sans jacket. Of course, I got a call to night court... and this is why I NEVER wear jeans to work. I can never be sure I wouldn't get called into court last-minute.

The set is matching necklace and earrings, and while I'm not usually into "matchy-matchy" sets, but this could be an exception....

They are much lighter than I would expect, and don't weigh me down at all.

Sweater: Chico's
Pants: Lane Bryant
Shoes: Bass
Jewelry: gift from a friend

  2. That's a lovely set! You look nice today. I still think you need to cut your hair.

Pam, don't let her fool you into thinking she's a Chico's fan. Every darn Chico's thing she's got I swear she got from me! She AND my kids tease me for shopping at the "old lady store". Hahahaha!

  3. I agree with Freeda, this is a lovely set. You can easily wear the necklace alone or with the earrings. I too am not the fan of jewelry that comes in sets. I like this dark sweater as the backdrop for this necklace. Your hair does look nice!

  4. Thank you ladies!

Not so much that I got all my Chico's stuff *from* Freeda, more that I took full advantage of her employee discount back in the day...

And there were nice things mixed in with the "old lady" clothes....

  5. Hi! I found you from a comment you made on Pam's blog (over50feeling40) and I just had to see the woman who boasted the largest hips in New York! LOL You look absolutely gorgeous and the hair is just sooooo silky looking...that dryer was a good buy.

BTW, if a droid took these pictures, I'm sold on the Droid. These are absolutely great quality. ~Serene

  6. For the sake of accuracy: droid did not do the photos with the glass balls... just the normal near-daily outfit posts...

  7. Love the jewelry. And, before reading your explanation, I noticed your hair looked especially nice and wondered why.
